The Respirator Fit Test Clinic is intended for all personnel who are required to wear respiratory protection or have concerns about respiratory hazards in their work environment. A proper fit is essential for a respirator to provide effective protection. EHS staff will help you select the appropriate respirator, perform the fit test and provide reminder on its correct use, care and maintenance.
As per the Respiratory Protection Program:
- A fit test is required at least every two years.
- You must be clean shaven where the respirator seals to the face
- Fit tests are required for all tight-fitting respirators including both disposable and reusable models.
- A separate fit test is required for each model and size of respirator.
Please bring your respirator with you.
