Tractors are used to move a variety of products and present hazards for the operators, their peers and by-standers in each scenario, regardless of the task.
Many hazards present potentially heightened risks when faced out in the field require careful consideration and planning for safe work procedures.
Topics to be covered include: equipment manuals, authorization, vehicle circle checks, shields and guards, lock out, ROPS, hitching, and
accident reporting.
General safety topics such as the use of PPE - respiratory, hearing, eye protection, foot protection, high visibility clothing and climatic work hazards will aslo be discuees.
Eligibility: |
Workers who will be operating tractors, ride mowers or other large machinery should attend, primarily those conducting research and field work. |
